Typical installation is less than 30 minutes using pliers and a screw driver.
For most kitchen areas, the kit requires a 7/8" hole in the sink or counter-top.
This hole can be drilled, or it may already exist in a sprayer, soap dispenser, or a plug.

Q. Do I have to use the water dispenser that comes with the unit, or can I use other manufacturer's dispenser? Can I run the supply line directly to the inlet of the filter?

A. You can use someone else's faucet only if it is vented or open relief, which means that it will have 3 tubes. You can not go straight into the filter from the cold water supply line because the system simply won't handle the pressure. We do it this way so that the system does not have to bear the brunt of the pressure, rather the pressure is maintained in the faucet to prevent leaking, or worse yet, exploding filters.
